Chapter 293: The Moment I Knew...

As I awoke, I tried my best to keep my eyes open. Oily face, unkempt hair, frustrated me; the typical look in the morning. Thank God it was the last paper...for now, of course. I dragged my soulless body to the washroom to wash up, and proceeded to drag it further down the exam hall.  "Alright, I am totally fine. Let's just get this over with." I tried to talk positively to myself. I felt good, too. After all, it was the last paper. After the student invigilators gave out the papers, I looked down at the few pieces of papers in front of me. Never would I have imagined what was hiding behind them. "F5 students, your reading time starts now." the head invigilator's voice boomed through the microphone. I heaved a long sigh and flipped the first page. What welcomed me was a two-paged long essay. Was I expecting this? No. Was I supposed to? Not at all. Was I shocked? Surprised? Definitely. Did everyone else feel the same way? Most probably.  I thought, ...

Chapter 292: Everything in Moderation

I feel that my blog is one of those friends whom I won't find during normal days but when there's something on, I'd surely be utterly excited to share it to! I honestly hope I don't abandon this friend because I hold a special place for it in my heart. For the past week, I've been trying to stay awake in classes, trying new sports, going to new places etc, in the hopes of not dying in the process. In spite of feeling good and productive, but the feeling slowly faded away by the end of the week. LOLOL. It was the total opposite of how I've been living college life. Last year (and maybe the first half of the year), my routine was simple: Wake up, go to class, go back to my room and sleep, wake up for dinner, relax for a bit and maybe revise. Yeah, it was mundane. But at least I had enough sleep. The day after we got back from Raya holidays, we started playing badminton. I hadn't played for a long time and I really sucked at it. Slowly I started liking it. ...

Chapter 291: Why It's Okay To Have Other Options

People often think that our SPM results and the subjects you take in high school reflect the careers that we're striving for in the future. When in fact, I think it's perfectly okay to pursue other courses other than what should be the "norm" for yourself. 1. Getting Straight As doesn't mean I should pursue Medicine Um yeah. Last year I was asked by a friend what I am currently doing, I answered accounting and she was partially shocked. She asked me why didn't I take Medic instead since my results are so good. Firstly, I don't think that my results were "so good", because there are a lot of people with straight As and I was just one of the few lucky ones. Secondly, my science subjects were just so-so. A+ for Chemistry, A for Physics and A- for Biology. I understand that what we learn in high school is merely the tip of the iceberg. There is SO MUCH MORE TO LEARN and if I can't cope with the ones in high school, I don't think I'd be...

Chapter 290: Being a CAT-ACCA student

Hello. I just wanna get this off my chest for a bit. DISCLAIMER: This is merely my own understanding of the whole programme. Please don't flame me for wrong information lol. WHAT ARE CAT AND ACCA?  CAT stands for Certified Accounting Technician. Yeah, people laugh at the term "technician" but in layman terms it is just another name for Foundation in Accountancy. No idea why they used CAT though; probably because they don't want people to mess it up with Foundation in Arts? Anyways, one thing I dislike is when people ask me what I'm currently doing. When I say CAT, EVERYONE doesn't get it. So I just say "Oh I'm doing accounting." which sounds pretty weak but then it's easier than explaining the whole shit a gazillion times to different people and yet they STILL don't get it. :( ACCA stands for Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Alright, so here's the thing. ACCA is a professional body (sort of like a club, really....

Chapter 289: I'm back

Hello! Didn't notice that I stopped posting for 2 months lol. It's okay I am back now! Didn't really have the time to blog properly but I've been blogging rather diligently on Dayre haha. Convenient maaa. Just whip out the phone, upload images straight from the phone and type out current feelings LOL. Actually I have a lot to share but I forgot what -____- Aiya should have written a list of what I wanna say. Gonna do it in the future so that this space wouldn't be empty lolol. I know I haven't really posted something that will some way impact your life until you fall into a deep abyss of insomniac nights EVERY. TIME. YOU. WANT. TO. FALL. ASLEEP. Not that I have that sort of magical unicorn power, but you get what I mean. Till I have that kind of power in my hands, I'mma rule the world. HUEHUEHUEHUEHUE. So for now let's just talk about the boring updates about my life. End of Semester I just finished my last CAT paper - FAU (Foundations in Audit)...

Chapter 288: College

Phew. I can finally sit down and type something. The past 2 weeks have been...well, I can't say that it's hectic, because I'm sure A LOT of people have it much harder than me. Hmm, let's just say I've been a little bit busy. Last Friday I went for the Sinchew Scholarship Interview! Hahaha I type here also feel paiseh. Previous interviews were all not successful sadly, that's why I have to go apply for more. I wonder if people talk bad about me behind their backs? LOL. Like, "Oh my God she's been through 2 scholarship interviews and she got none! Now she wants to go for another one? I'm sure she'll fail like the previous ones." I don't know. Maybe yes maybe no. I guess it's inevitable. Because I myself feel this way too. *自卑* And yet the other part of me feels that having the opportunity to attend the interviews is already considered not bad; it's just that I'm not good enough to compete with the rest. Anyway the interview ...

Chapter 287: Expectations

Just my two cents. Recently, I saw a lot of articles about relationships on Facebook. It's one of those "If your boyfriend does this, then he is the One" or "23 things couples should have done in their relationship" articles. At first I liked reading them. But then slowly, a lot of the same type of articles come about and it's getting kinda stupid because every article has different elements but with the same title. Once I even saw an article titled something like "Reasons why you must leave the Nice Guy". So freaking absurd. The author commented that you should leave the nice guy because he doesn't ignite the spark in you. Lol. It's just you. It doesn't mean it can be applied to everyone. Don't drag everyone into believing that we should all chuck the nice guys aside because of your own thoughts. I just hope people don't get influenced by the article too much. Anyway, back to the topic, Expectations. I'm sure most peopl...
