Chapter 298: To each his own

Have you ever had the feeling that you're not good enough? Well, for me, most of the time when I'm confident about something (which is quite rarely), I end up looking at what other people have and...yes, dark clouds tower over me and shove me with the harsh truth - YOU'RE JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH. For instance, yesterday I was writing up an essay for the Young Writers' Award competition held by Malaysian Works and I was totally confident for it. But when I had a look at what the winners (they are doing it on a rolling basis) wrote, my confident level became zero. Maybe even negative lol. Their essays were SO powerful and the messages they gave out were so deep. Seriously, what am I doing with my life? Like, even if some of their essays were short, but the messages they conveyed were so meaningful. Chapter 297: Is Social Media Controlling Us?

What do you think? Is social media controlling our minds, our lives, our relationships? Note: My opinions might clash with other people who have similar opinions as mine. Credit When social media first started, it was merely a platform for us to connect with each other, make new friends on the internet, and to share our interests. However, recently I noticed a change. It is no longer used to interact with people, but rather to impress people. People yearn for more likes, comments or shares. They don't do it for themselves anymore. I know this because I've been there. I used to wonder how does one get so many likes for their pictures? The likes don't mean anything actually. T_T  Day 2 of Penang:  First stop:  Lum Fong Cafe    The uncle was super friendly!  Then we had a stroll around Georgetown to search for some street art.   First stop of the day: Camera Museum  The "special" entrance fee they offered was RM10 for student price. We rejected and they seemed desperate for customers because they asked us why. We said 3 of us had already visited before, so they offered to charge only 3 of us. Which also means half price.
